C4OP! (pronounced "chop") — is an independent duo comprised of myself and rock musician R.P.Smith. Our debut album "C4OP!" released in July 2026, but its concept and execution were two years in the making. The record is a love letter to sample-based music. R.P.Smith recorded 22 minutes of tracks with a live band, and I created 22 minutes of beats using elements of each R.P.Smith song as samples. The first half of the project is a beat tape, followed by a second half of rock songs, so the sources of the samples are gradually revealed throughout the album. It's a really fun, energetic album that features verses from the likes of former BROCKHAMPTON member Dom McLennon, sai. of CHILDREN OF WAR, and plenty more.
